ABOUT BEE VENOM

Bees continue to play a crucial role in our environment, and bee venom has endless health benefits to the human body. Thousands of years ago, ancient Egyptians used bee products to help cure many diseases and illnesses. Studies across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa have been completed, and many more are under way to verify the many claims made about using bee venom as a health or medical treatment. Below, you may find many of the benefits which bee venom may cause to your body.

JOINTS

  • Researchers have concluded how effective bee venom may be for treating arthritis, particularly rheumatoid arthritis.

  • A study published in the Chinese Journal Acupuncture Research compared bee venom treatment in 100 patients. Fifty patients used traditional oral medicine, and 50 patients used oral medicine plus bee venom. After three months, researchers found that the group that used bee venom in addition to traditional medicine achieved better results than those who used traditional medicine alone. There is still controversy despite these studies, as some researchers claim that more evidence is needed in larger trials.

  • Bee venom is considered the oldest-known treatment for arthritis.

  • The most documented benefit of bee venom therapy is in the reduction of pain and inflammation in both osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). A particular study found that more than 82% of patients who had been treated with bee venom reported substantial pain relief, compared with 55% of the patients who had been treated with traditional acupuncture.

Joints

MUSCLES

  • Bee venom helps maintain proper blood circulation, while also supporting physical strength.

  • Researchers have also found that bee venom helps reduce swelling, and supports in relieving muscle pain.

  • Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system that leads to substantial disability through deficits of sensation, motor, autonomic, and neuro-cognitive function. Bee venom has been used in the practice of oriental medicine and evidence indicates that bee venom plays an anti-inflammatory role against inflammatory reactions associated with arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

  • Apitherapy, the medical use of honeybee products, was used by ancient Egyptians as a homeopathic remedy for Arthritis. Today, bee venom therapy has captured the attention of medical science as a potential homeopathic remedy for multiple sclerosis (MS) symptoms.

  • Bee venom therapy, or apitherapy, uses the stings of live bees to relieve symptoms of MS such as pain, loss of coordination, and muscle weakness.

INFLAMMATION

  • Scientists have found that bee venom can help control harmful inflammation in joints that leads to rheumatoid arthritis. The venom contains molecules that cause an increase in natural hormones in the body that regulate inflammation. It has raised hopes that bee venom can be used to develop new treatments that may help bring relief from the pain of arthritis and even prevent it from developing in the first place.

  • Dr. Suzana Beatriz Verissimo De Mello, an associate professor in rheumatology who led the research at the University of Sao Paulo, in Brazil, claimed that bee venom caused increased levels of anti-inflammatory hormones.

PAIN SENSATION

For centuries, bee venom has been practiced as a recognized therapeutic tradition around the world for several reasons. A main one being bringing pain relief and helping reduce pain sensation. Several recent studies have proven that bee venom may be a sufficient tool in modern medicine as well. One trial, conducted at the University of North Carolina explored the outcome of bee venom on back and leg pain. Researchers found that along with other treatments, it reduced pain by up to two-thirds. An analysis of studies by scientists from the University of Exeter claimed that bee venom consists of compounds that may ease joint pain. We trust our scientists and researchers will continue to bring the highest quality raw ingredients in the coming years, to enhance your health and your life.
